I got one 2 years ago, and it really is worth every penny! I hate the plastic packaging, but using this item makes it a bunch faster and easier to actually get at the products I have purchased. I bought this thinking it would be quick and easy to open plastic packages but it wasn't. Its a pain to use. You have to cut it first with the straight razor then you have to stick the front piece into the clam shell and try to open the package with ease. Didnt work.
My advise buy a utility knife,it works and faster.

I've used this product almost a year. It's a LOT more useful than scissors to open boxes and plastic packaging..easy to use and sturdy, with a nice heft. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I had to buy a new one when the blade broke..as far as I know, the blade cannot be replaced.Customer Review: Only a Fair to Mediocre Package Opener

Seems to work OK on lightweight packages, but won't do the job on the tough plastic ones. Pushing action is difficult for us that cannot grip the tool firmly enough. I also scraped my knuckles on the plastic package trying to use the opener. Doesn't have a a guard to prevent this.Customer Review: Great product!

I read about this product in Good Housekeeping magazine and immediately went online to see where I could purchase one. When I found it here and at a great price, I ordered several: one for myself and the others for family members as Christmas gifts. They and I all love it!
