Customer Review: J8006 My first juicer

I decided to shop for a juicer after my daughter had great health improvement and weight loss on a recent juice fast. I researched juicers on Amazon and elsewhere. I found the reviews so helpful that I decided to go to the effort of writing a review. I couldn't afford some of the highly rated machines but in this price range I found J8006 met my requirements. It is efficient,produces a lot of juice and very dry fiber. Juicing greens is a pain because pieces get pulled out when the pusher is lifted, but what juicer won't do the same. We are still having fun, making frozen banana parfait with chunks of dark chocolate and frozen bing cherries chopped up. Readers can see that we won't be having weight loss benefits if we keep this up.
The juicer is easy to take apart and easy to clean. I love it.

I did extensive research on juicers before i finally settled on this one. The benefits are that the juice that it makes contains all of the veg/fruit enzymes that get killed off in a centrifuge style juicer. The only thing better is a hydraulic press juicer and they are at least double the price. Another benefit is that this machine is extremely easy to clean taking a mere 15 to 20 sec to rinse and scrub the parts and put them in the strainer to dry. I chose the commercial model because of the more durable auger and it is showing no signs of wear after 30 days with multiple sessions of juicing per day. As a side note and just for reference, I grow my own wheatgrass and it juices it perfectly. I'm not sure why others are having problems with it. It all depends on what you are looking for, and how frequently you plan to use it. For me, the OMEGA J8006 offers:
Superior juice quality
Quietness
Mastication process means little oxidation of the juice
All the parts come off, good for cleaning
Anyone can clean it without worrying about sharp parts cutting any small bits
At frist I bought another juicer, one of those cheaper versions found at KOHLS, but returned it promptly after seeing the sharp oscillating filter, plus it was really noisy, and messy...the juice still tasted quite good but I had my questions about its durability. Since I plan to abuse my juicer, for me the best decision was to invest into a great piece of engineering, THE OMEGA JUICER J8006, and I LOVE IT!!

Excellent machine. I researched quite a while and even borrowed from friends their juicer so I could decide the right one for me. And this Omega J8006 has been perfect. It is quiet, easy to use and easy to clean up. You do need to cut up the fruit or veggies smaller than some other juicers out there but there is something about at least having some touch to the fruits of our labor as they say. I also liked knowing there is a 15 year warranty on it (not that I have needed it) but so many are very limited--some only a couple years. Nothing happens in the beginning and I am glad to know down the road I will have some help if any problems with the machine. So happy I purchased it. Something seriously wrong with either Omega manufacturing or packaging. I received the item with a 3~4 inch crack on the left side towards the rear end of the base unit (main motor). I ordered a replacement, Amazon promptly sent a replacement, but the replacement came with similar crack at the same location. Amazon put the item under review. I thought it may something wrong with the stock that Amazon has or problem with their packaging, so I again ordered it from Amazon Marketplace (Sold by RawReform). But the item came again with similar crack at the same spot. I don't think I would want to order this item again online.
