Customer Review: expensive for what they are

We bought these to replace our old mills that weren't working and to get a matching set that looked nice.
The good:
-The salt mill works fairly well for natural sea salt. Even the gray sticky stuff that typically plugs up mills.
-They are nice looking.
The bad:
- The "chrome top" is colored plastic. It is not chrome
- the top is so smooth that if you have the slightest moisture on your hand it's not very different to turn. (I know, I should have caught that from the picture.)
- the pepper mill barely grinds the peppercorns. Even after tightening the top as much as possible the best we can do is a crush that's about 1/3 of a corn size. Not exactly what we enjoy eating on our foods.
Summary:
If you're looking for a nice salt and pepper mill that will last a long time and works well and on the cheap. Be prepared to spend more. These are certainly the lowest cost in that category, but they are too frustrating that we'll end up buying another set that is more expensive to replace them.
