This is my 3rd flask, both others purchased from the mall. Got the black box and thought wow, this is nice. The nice box was actually just heavy cardboard and 'eh' quality after looking at it. I laughed a bit cause I was thinking it's kinda like a Tag Heuer box, not. I noticed even though it was in this 'nice' box, there was a big honking dent in it. There is no way it got dented like that after it was put in the box. It does the job but it's ultra thin metal and feels like cheap made in China junk. Fine, expected that from the $3 flasks listed on Amazon but that's why I decided to pay a bit more. Expected at least mall or trade show stand quality but it's far inferior. They have way better ones at the mall for $18. Btw the hinge is silver painted plastic and won't survive much (so are most others but this is clearly badly molded). I kept it, does what I need...but forget it as any kind of a gift unless they are a homeless alcoholic. Skip this and go for the mall $18 generic ones with heavier gage SS or go all out cheap and get the $3 ones.
