I bought this fork to use in my non-stick skillets. I tried using it when I fried potatoes, but the tines were not sharp enough to snag the potatoes, which slithered around avoiding being stabbed. For other uses it should work well. The waffle idea hadn't occurred to me, so I will keep that in mind for waffles. The length is sufficient for my needs, and it comes close to getting 5 stars, except for the dull points.
