Oxo Good Grips Silicone Collapsible Colander is an outstanding product, both in function and in its space-saving qualities. It is ideal for draining vegetables, fruits, or larger quantities of pasta than Oxo's smaller collapsible colander can handle.
When expanded, the colander is approximately 4 7/8 inches high; this includes a sturdy base that is 1/2 inch in height. The rim and base are solid; I had no concern that the colander would collapse when it was being used. The colander has an interior diameter of about 8 inches; drainage holes stop about 1 inch from the top rim. The holes are a little less than 1/8 inch in diameter, making this colander, if you cook angel hair pasta frequently, a better choice than Oxo's smaller collapsible which has larger holes. When collapsed, this colander is approximately 1 3/4 inches high and is about 13 inches long from the outer edge of one handle to the outer edge of the other. I was able to stack my smaller Oxo collapsible, as well as a small saucepan, on top of this colander without problems.
I am very pleased with this collapsible colander and have retired my old metal colander which takes up a significant amount of space. Amazon did not have the gray version at the time I made my purchase. However, Amazon definitely has the best price on this item and if I need another, I will definitely purchase it here!

When collapsed, the Colander is less than 2? in height and fits easily inside the dishwasher and kitchen drawers or cabinets. Simply press the center to expand the Colander.
