Customer Review: Product is fabulous, packaging is horrible

I wish manufacturers would keep consumers and the environment in focus when designing packaging, not only products.
I would give thproduct itself a 5 - wasy to take apart & clean, and just perfect for finely chopping garlic, shallots, nuts... (This is hte small version of their chopper - don't expect to chop a whole onion with this.
Nice feature - You can chop on your cutting board, OR, right in it's own little base, which means you don't have to dirty a cutting board.
And should you have leftovers, the base has a cap, so you can store it.
BUT - it arrives in this absurd clamshell packaging :(
Yes - take out those heavy-duty kitchen shears or razor blade, and prepare to do battle!
You will either cut yourself while trying to cut the packaging,
ORyou will cut yourself AFTER slicing through it, since now you have nice razor-sharp edges to deal with.
Manufacturers - PLEASE design packaging that is EASY to open and close! I will not give 4 or 5 star ratings to any product that has sub-standard packaging.

Chop ingredients in the enclosed cup with its soft, non-slip base, or remove the base and chop directly on a cutting board. A tab rotates within the cup to prevent food from accumulating on the side walls. The entire blade cartridge can be removed from the shopper by simply unscrewing it, so clean up is a breeze.
