My husband bought this product for me as a surprise. It is a wonderful grater and I am wondering why it took us so long to buy it. We have been purchasing shredded cheese for a long time without realizing how much flavor we were sacrificing. This grater is almost perfect for me, from the grip right down to the little catch-box. I don't think I could have any problem with it unless it somehow broke in in some unduly short amount of time. So far there is no obvious structural deficiency visible in the grater that leads me to believe this will happen...Customer Review: So handy!

Another Cooks Illustrated find! And I see many of the cooks on Food Network using this same grater. It grates wonderfully and I love the little box on the bottom for catching the food. Of course you still get some of whatever you are grating on the outside, but all in all this works great and is very convenient.Customer Review: grater

The grater works great. It's nice and sharp. But the container for the bottom is too small. It only holds a half cup or so of whatever your grating. I hardly ever grate small amounts like that. I just threw the container in my cupboard to hold my measuring spoons, and it's there if I need it for something small.Customer Review: Excellent Grater

Outstanding product, as are all the others I have purchased over the years from Oxo. Sturdy construction, sharp cutters, great handle, non-wobbly during use. The plastic collection box is fairly useless for me, although that is certainly not a downside. Best price here than I've found elsewhere, too.
