I like these bowls for their well-built, solid construction, three useful sizes, non skid bottoms (the rubber smell goes away quickly). They cost more but I've had mine for nearly two years and they are still rock solid. Neither the crimped rim nor the rubber bottom show any signs of wear. Haven't noticed any dirt buildup under the rim like I thought might happen either. These bowls do clean up easily as food doesn't tend to stick as much on the stainless compared to glass or melamine bowls I used before.
The melamine mixing bowls I replaced with these were taller instead of wider. At first I was worried that these bowls would be a little tippy but they really aren't.
Only minor draw back for me is I miss the small spout my other bowls had as it is not easy to pour out of, especially the big one.
Another plus is the bowl is double walled so it keeps things hot or cold longer if needed.
I have tried every kind of mixing bowl from wood to plain stainless to glass, and melamine. This set is the best so far.
