Customer Review: SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I bought these and followed the directions exactly. Did the full charge upon initial use, and then allowed them to drain before re-charging. THE CHARGE NEVER HELD. After only a few months use, they started holding only 20-30 minutes of charge. Finally, they lost their ability to charge altogether. My youngest would constantly wake up because her nightlight was out. I contacted the company, because it stated a one year warranty. They wanted me to fill out a bunch of paperwork, pack up my nightlights, ship them back to them at MY COST, and then they would decide if they would replace them or not. I'm sorry, but that's outrageous, especially when I had my proof of purchase from Amazon, showing they were under warranty. OXO did not work with me at all, and now those lights are sitting under my cabinet waiting to be thrown away. You cannot just go and buy a replacement battery - they're not available. You can order them directly from the company, but you'll spend another $10 for 2 batteries plus shipping costs - nearly half the price of the lights to begin with!! OXO Customer service is HORRIBLE so do NOT expect them to hold to their warranty promise. A good company would ask for a proof of purchase and send out replacement batteries at no charge. Those batteries are made in CHINAA for pennies - it's not a big loss for them. But OXO will NOT do that. I belive they hope that if they make it difficult enough for the consumer, you won't go through with trying to get it replaced. I refused to put more money into these lousy nightlights, so all I can do now is warn others and give OXO lousy review!!
