Customer Review: Could use improvements
Summary: 3 Stars

Once set up it does a fine job and the price is realistic and it is not too heavy. There are plenty of air holes without rendering the panels flimsy. I like that it came with an optional steel reinforced door at no additional cost. I could not find another hard plastic crate for a 30# dog that folded flat for travel. The carrier, however, is difficult to set up - it takes one hand to hold the top up, another one to reach in and grab the panels and another one to provide resistance so the panels snap into place. Collapsing it is similarly cumbersome. Once folded flat it is awkward to carry as the top and bottom panels do not snap into one another - it comes with a flimsy velco strap which, if positioned in the middle, sort of works, but I had to buy two cinch straps. Once folded it can only be carried by it's handle so you are carrying a horizontally flat package, not a vertically flat package - again awkward.

Customer Review: Perfect create for our needs
Summary: 5 Stars

We own two of these - one for each of our beagles. We think they're great, and have a lot of advantages to other crates.

It does take a while to get the collapsing and expanding of the crates down, but when collapsed they REALLY collapse. Whenever we travel with the dogs, we put both beagles in one crate in the back seat of our Civic and the other on the floor of the trunk where it hardly takes up any space at all. I don't think we'd be able to take both crates with us if we'd chosen a different type of crate.

The box-like shape of these crates is also something I like. One advantage of this is that we can stack the crates on top of each other, saving us floor space. I don't know if they were really designed for stacking, but we haven't had any problems with them shifting and the dogs don't seem to mind in the least.

Customer Review: Great Item, Nice Looking Too
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got this item on Friday, snapped it together in a few minutes, put the blankets in and my little Min Pin jumped in and loved it. We just adopted him 2 weeks and they let us borrow a black metal crate and he used to chew on the sides, with this one, he feels protected and safe. We call it his little condo. We got the medium one, even though he is only 7 lbs and will never get any bigger than that, but with the extra few inches I think he really likes it. The smaller crate we borrowed made him feel anxious. So for a few bucks more, buy the medium one if you have a small dog like mine. Looks good too. I like the fact that it folds down and we can store it anywhere, great for when we travel and he comes with us and has his own "room". Best buy ever for my dog. Review: Good home for our Corgi
Summary: 5 Stars I was able to set this carrier up in about 30 seconds after we got it out of the box without any instructions. It seems pretty straight forward but definitely requires two hands. I didn't find it particularly awkward as noted by another reviewer. The extra metal reinforced door is tighter that the one the carrier comes with as noted by another reviewer as well and we chose to use the all plastic door which opens easier. We have two dogs and I'll be ordering another one for our second dog.

Customer Review: Almost as good as the previous version
Summary: 4 Stars

In general, the Nylabone fold away den is great. I found the newer model to be less convenient as far as putting it together and breaking it down. Plus, the front gate is plastic, whereas the previous version was metal. This model did come with a "heavy duty" door with reinforced metal, but it is tighter to open and close. I liked the older model better. But this one is still pretty good since it looks and feels like a "den" and not a fence, like the typical crates.
