This grinder does what they say it will. It grinds a lot of meat in a short amount of time. It works for my purposes, which is mostly venison, but I have also used it to make beef hamburger and pork sausage. Grinding is not a problem at all. If you are planning on stuffing a lot of sausage, this grinder will 'work' but it is not fast at it. A separate sausage stuffer might be the answer for that. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.Customer Review: Very powerful.

This thing will grind up an entire cow. The only problems I have are: 1) The cutter blades aren't stainless and will easily rust if not fully dried off before storing (put some oil on them also); 2) The size of the item - it really is pretty massive and very heavy. I am going to buy my wife a Kitchenaid grinder attachment for routine use (easier to use and clean). However, this unit is good for grinding large quantities of material.Customer Review: Awesome

We bought the KitchenAid Meat Grinder attachment and immediately returned it. It was slow, inefficient and it took 40 minutes to grind 2 pounds of pork shoulder.
We ordered this machine and it ground two pounds of pork shoulder in less than two minutes. This is a serious, heavy-duty machine. Highly recommended. Yes, it's a bit loud but who cares? It's quick and efficient and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I purchased this grinder to make hamburger for my dog out of whole meat.
I cut off all the fat and cut it thin and clean. Nevertheless the gristle that
is in all meat clogs the holes in the strainer and the meat won't come through.
I have to open it up and clean it off at least 3 times for a pound of meat.
This is not good. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am not happy with
this product.

The product is excellent and, after a little bit of practice, grinds meat exactly as advertised. The shipping packaging was not so good, however. A minimum amount of tape was used on the edges of the shipping carton and the tape did not hold during shipping. Fortunately, everything arrived safely; but the box was wide open on at least two sides. Thank you UPS!
