I have never used a butter keeper before. I hate cold butter, but I also hate microwaving it for a few seconds and having it desolving all over the place. This made so much sense. It's really cute and goes well in my blue and white kitchen. I use it in cooking and at the table with no problems. Replacing the cold water regularly seems to be the key, but I have had the same butter out for almost two weeks without any problems. I think this might be a kitchen tool that I end up taking for granted, but never want to live without.Customer Review: Love it

I love this little butterbell. I was in the market for a butter dish, but this caught my attention and I'm glad I chose this instead. Thanks to everyone who gave instructions on how to use it, I haven't been surprised to find the butter in the water. The only thing I have trouble with is remembering to change the water every few days, but I'm trying. The bad part, but oh so good tasting, is that I think I'm using more butter than I normally would have. It's just so spreadable and quick to enjoy, I have trouble resisting.Customer Review: Great little butter keeper!

I love gadgets, especially in my kitchen. My husband is usually not so easily convinced that what I think would be fantastic will actually be anything more than "just another gadget." He has said at least 5 times in the last two weeks we've had this that it is, hands down, his favorite gadget in the kitchen. Our butter stays fresh and it's always spreadable. It could be more simple-looking for our taste, but I've never actually been too concerned with putting a stick of butter onto a plate, so this works just fine for us.Customer Review: Kiss your butter-bane good-bye!

The butter mess in my house has been the bane of my kitchen for many years--but no more! The mess is gone, and the butter spreads perfectly every time. I loved this butter keeper so much, I bought eight more--for my sisters & sisters-in-law.
I noticed in some of the reviews that other people had butter keepers arrive broken. One of my 8 arrived broken, and Amazon shipped me a new one (2nd day air), and paid for me to return the broken one.
I couldn't be happier.

I have been using this butter keeper for 3 months now and it is definitely one of my favorite kitchen products!!! I hate rock hard butter so I love the fact that I can have nice spreadable butter any time I want. Furthermore, I can modulate the softness of my butter by placing the keeper in different parts of my kitchen (by the somewhat drafty, cold window for firmer butter or on the counter for softer butter). I have not had any problems with it and I am going to be ordering another one for my mother.
