My dad had a very similar ice cream scoop and I looked in stores everywhere to find one. I finally found this on Amazon and love it. Unlike my dad's scoop this one is teflon coated so clean up is a breeze. It scoops through even the hardest frozen ice creams with ease. This scoop is absolutely marvelous. Easy to grip, easy to load with my favorite desert and cleans like a dream. Very strong and stable in construction. Highly reccommend to any and all who take their ice cream serious. Am very happy with this product in every way.

Yup, it works as promised and makes scooping hard ice cream MUCH easier. The only downside is it must be handwashed because the high temps of a dishwasher will ruin the anti-freeze action of the liquid inside it. One of these with some gourmet/premium ice cream would be a neat gift, I'm thinking!Customer Review: Hand saver!

For people with any hand, or extremity disability, this is the end of fighting with hard ice cream! I have rheumatoid arthritis and thought I would give this a try and I was amazed!
