Purchased this several months ago. I like the size and looks of it. But it is falling apart after 3-4 months. My prior one lasted at least 10-15 years. Thus if you want one to last pay the extra money. This one will last about 3-6months if you are lucky. The 'petals' ar just crimped in and start to fall off after 6-8 uses.Customer Review: A kitchen staple

I use this steamer as a stand the most of all the different size metal stands I own. These are generic steamers commonly found in Chinese kitchen supply stores. It's better to get this style rather than the one with the rod in the middle. This adjusts to tighter pots and expand/flatten out to allow for larger dishes.Customer Review: steamer/radio-telescope

OK, not good as a radio telescope. Nice steamer though. You should consider the model with a center handle as it is easier to lift out of pan when hot. This one has wire rings on both sides to lift by, which work but are probably not as convenient as a center handle.Customer Review: Not Sturdy Enough

This steamer works ok, but it broke in less than 6 months. A steamer section with one of the loops on it broke off. I can kind of shove it back in, but it's a real nuisance.
I have only used this product for its intended use, and it's already broken.

This steamer basket isn't anything special, but it is very functional for what it is. The best feature is that it has little hooks to help remove it from the pot, which my previous steamer basket did not have.
