Positives
- Because it is big, you can put a lot of veggies in this, more than others. No center post also helps.
Negatives
- Because it is big, it doesn't fit in all pots.
- The metal pieces sometimes fall off, although it is easy to put them back on.
Overall, it works. It is what it is and nothing more. I didn't see anything all that much better anywhere else.

I love this little gizzmo and I have had mine for years. I have tried other steamers but this one is simple to use and it adjust to any size pan (with in reason that is). All my friends now have one especially after they figured out what it was for. By the way it is real easy to clean and it stores away easily. And if your trying to save money, it costs very little. The bottom of this steamer has an rim or lip that makes it the tiniest bit too large. I had another brand of steamer for years but it finally broke and I purchased this to replace it. This steamer is the slightest bit too large (becaue of that rim) to fit comfortably in either of the Revere pots I used the old steamer in. I can get it in the larger pot by tipping it but it is tight.Customer Review: This is the second time I purchase it!

I love this steamer. I used the first one until it fell apart. It lasted me about a year and a half, but it was used almost on a daily basis to steam veggies for dinner and for my two year old's meals. I think the size is perfect and I like that it does have the metal piece in the center! When I need a replacement, this is the steamer I'll buy!Customer Review: Great multitasker

Since i bought this item i have used it in several different ways. It works good as a steamer as well as a 'cover' to keep things submerged when cooking soups/stocks. Another nice thing about this is that it can fit in most any size pot thanks to the design. It can be opened as little or as much as is needed. Overall a good product.
