I bought this after only being able to find kid sized molds at local stores and I absolutely love them.
Mine did not have any sharp edges.
I have never ever had a popsicle mold that released without being left out for a little bit or ran under hot water, come on it's frozen liquid, what do you expect?
The only problem I had with the holes is that I am a cheap skate and bought a box of craft sticks, they are not the best quality and are not all the same sized and are cheap, rough, can bow, and are not all the same sized (what do you want for 1000 for $6) so not all of them fit but with the way I use clips to hold the sticks I could easily make the holes bigger but that is not a problem with the mold, good sticks fit just fine.
I have the perfect cure for the sticks flopping around, use binder clips, clip one of the clips to the stick with the clip on it's side, the triangle shape of the clip keeps the stick standing nice and straight, you can adjust the height and the slight weight of the clip keeps the stick from floating, and they go on and come off easily.
want a perfect up and down stick? clip the binder clip to the stick then push down on the clip with the side of the stick against a table, it will stop against the binder lining up perfectly and then just drop it in the hole.

I did not think mine was cheaply made at all, the lid is light aluminium, the molds are plastic that are inserted into a thick metal tray, they are snapped in well (I tried to get one out and couldn't) the plastic is about as thick as a ****ware cup.
I have made fruit punch, banana cream, lemon lime (with real lemon and lime juice), and today I am making some peach creamsicles.
My wife and I love it, and they are the perfect size for adults.
