Customer Review: didn't buy it to crack nuts.......
Summary: 5 Stars
This guy was so cute as a decorative item, I had to have him. It is exactly as pictured, solidly made and perfectly detailed. I currently have him on a tabletop holiday display. He is stealing a walnut from an antique china side dish full of nuts... everyone smiles when they notice him! I've never tried, but it doesn't appear to be the most efficient setup for cracking nuts. Perfect for STEALING nuts and HOLDING nuts just like a real squirrel would. But I guess I'm not the most refined girl in the world.... I prefer a hammer and a towel on the carpet as the most EFFICIENT way to get the shell off the nuts! P.S.- Kids have a blast with the hammer method, too!
