I can't stop using this. it's so much fun to make and fun to eat! So far I've used Juffy corn muffin mix with hot dog franks, and then made some with bbq beef filling, then made some imagawayaki with sweet red bean & walnut filling. because of the fillings, i've been making 2 halves, then while the batter is only just firm on the outside, i flip one half over the other to create a full sphere. the corn muffin mix looks fluffy enough that i probably don't have to cook them this way, but it's just been my method! I'm going to try to make crispy rice balls with furikake and soy sauce next. I can't wait to make finger foods for my next gathering!Customer Review: The aeblelskiver pan is exactly what my husband wanted!

My husband has been wanting an aebleskiver pan ever since his roommate made aebleskivers after they returned from serving in the Viet Nam war. I found a recipe at our local library, but we had been unable to find a pan to cook them in. Then one day I thought, "Hey, I wonder if there's one on Amazon?" And, sure enough, we found one for the right price and shipping. Was a great buy...and, if you've never tried aebleskivers, you ought to...they're great! (Aebleskivers are little round ball-type pancakes -- a Swedish delicacy, I think (or Norweigan). You serve them with powdered sugar or any number of toppings. I've been eying the Williams Sonoma version of this pan for a while, but I just did not want the Teflon coating. I was so pleased when this pan was "recommended" for me by Amazon. I love it!
I did seasoned it by rubbing oil all over and leaving it on the stovetop with low heat as another reviewer mentioned. Worked like a charm. I made my first batch today and no sticking.
I am now considering getting the Lodge version as well. My kids had so much fun munching on the nutella filled pancakes I made this morning, I think it would be great to have a second, larger pan for weekend breakfasts.

This is one awesome little pan. can not beat it for the price.
If you need a big one then by all means look for one.
But I seasoned it as you should with iron stuck it in a hot oven after dinner.
it was ready to use to make a after dinner Treat.
Made some with pancake mix with a little powdered sugar to the mix.
used some lucks fried apples for the filling,an they were Brown an did not stick.
I used Parkay low fat Butter spray.sprinkled powdered sugar on them an they was wonderful.
Wished I had bought more For Christmas Gifts. I know my Family will all want one.

I HAVE BEEN MAKEING AND EATIN AEBLESKIVERS FOR 40 YEARS SO I FIGURED I WOULD GET AN IRON FOR MY SON. WHEN THE PACKAGE ARRIVED I ALMOST DIED. THIS IS THE SMALLEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. DOES NOT DO THE JOB. GIVEIN, IT IS CAST IRON AND HAS THE POTS FOR THE CAKES BUT IS WAY TOO SMALL. THESE TAKE ALOT OF TIME TO MAKE AND PRODUCE SO YOU WANT YOUR IRON TO DO THE JOB FAST. TRUST ME IF YOU GET AN IRON THAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE AND NOT A MINI VERSION OF THE REAL DEAL YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER. SPEND A LITTLE MORE AND GET THE ONE THAT IS 15" YOU'LL BE FINSIHED SOONER AND BE ABLE TO ENJOY THESE WITH YOUR FAMILY.
