Customer Review: poor heat resistance and grip

a lot of the complaints here are regarding the size of the oven mitts. admittedly they fit lose but this wasnt really a concern. My primary concern is the fact that they do not work for their primary purpose which is holding hot items. The first time i used them to move a hot dish from the oven i could feel the heat of the dish to the point that it was uncomfortable. In addition to their poor heat insulation performance i found the surface to be slippery and i was concerned i would drop the items. I got this in the hopes they would be easier to clean but i think i will stick with my Le Creuset pot holders instead.
