Customer Review: Better for Eggs than Pancakes

I bought these to surprise my kids on Valentine's Day. They worked pretty well when used for sunny-side up eggs. I sprayed the pan and the rings with non-stick spray...and they seemed to work very well.
For pancakes, they worked O.K. Usually, the heart shape was visible on one side, but once you flip over the pancake, it lost a bit of the definition. I probably could have cut around the shape with kitchen shears to give it more defined borders, but I didn't want to. I got frustrated after making a few and ended up making normal round pancakes sprinkled with heart shaped sprinkles. Worked great--and super easy. Next year, I plan to make the Valentine's sprinkle pancakes and serve them with heart-shaped eggs.
