These are super easy to use. I just wrapped strips of puff pastry around them and baked. Take them out of the oven and carefully slide the pastry off to cool. Then you have a pastry cone to fill with flavored ricotta cream, salmon, mushroom pate, etc. Perfect for an elegant looking dessert or appetizer.

Although, these do come with an excellent recipe for puff pasty, the stuff you find at the grocery store works equally as well (and takes A LOT less time).
