Customer Review: Good product
Summary: 4 Stars
This product looks great on my counter and is effective at prolonging the life of my garlic. Amazingly, it arrived with no breaks or chips despite the fact that it was poorly packed by the manufacturer (just a thin cardboard box with no padding). The only real gripe I have is that the lid does not sit flush on the top of the keeper. The hole at the top of the keeper is not perfectly round so the lid sits tilted to one side. This does not take away from the effectiveness of the product since garlic requires air circulation, but it detracts from its aesthetic qualities - one of the reasons why I picked this particular product in the first place. If it were not for the flawed lid, I would have given this product a five-star rating.

With the ability to keep garlic fresh for a long time, and a relatively small structure that takes up little space on the counter, the garlic pot can be an ideal way to keep your favorite herb nearby and ready for useThere are a couple of really nice things going for this ceramic garlic keeper by Norpro: it's good-looking, yet restrained in its Old World ornamentation; and while it will never contain that entire Costco mesh bag of Gilroy, California's chief crop, it will provide optimal storage conditions for three or four larger heads of garlic (not including the jumbo-sized but deceptively mild elephant garlic). Firm, plump, heavy heads with unbroken, tight, papery skin deserve a dry, cool (but not refrigerated), well-ventilated 'hood, something this 5-inch-high garlic keeper provides with a touch of Italian élan. --Tony Mason
