Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Norpro 3980 12-Count Nonstick Mini Donut PanCustomer Review: Wish I had purchased the larger donut pan Summary: 3 Stars
We love the convenience and healthiness of baking our own donuts but my experience with this pan is that it is very difficult to get the batter into the smallish grooves. Because the batter is generally thick and sticks together, I find it challenging to get the proper amount in the groove and frequently over-fill. We have ordered the larger version and are looking forward to experimenting with it.
Customer Review: Fun kitchen toy Summary: 4 Stars
This little donut pan is a lot of fun! It comes with two recipes for cake donuts, and there are hundreds more on the internet. Baked donuts make a fun dessert, which can be a welcome break from cookies or frozen desserts. Most donut recipes bake for about 10-12 minutes, so your treats will be ready quickly. And, importantly, this really is a no-stick pan! No crumbs or mess whatsoever.
Customer Review: Cute Summary: 5 Stars
My family really enjoyed the cute little doughnuts made in this pan. My children especially were thrilled to see them in their lunchbox. The cakes were easy to remove. Use a pastry bag to fill as the pans are tiny. Keep in mind that you will need 3 pans for the recipes included with the pan. Amazon offers a 4 for the price of 3 pans. We will definitely be using these pans on a regular basis.
Customer Review: Norpro Nonstick Pan Summary: 4 Stars
I like the pan, it is well made and serves the purpose. The holes are very small and getting batter to go in and not get all over the middle is hard. The pan itself is great though and really good at the non-stick, and very heavy duty. If I buy anymore, I will make sure I get the bigger size though. Small one is hard to maneuver batters into without making a terrible mess.
Customer Review: This non-stick pan stuck Summary: 2 Stars
I grant you it didn't have to soak very long to get the baked-on product out but it wasn't supposed to stick!
Later addition to review:
I was trying to make gluten free donuts and maybe xanthan gum increases sticking. I did use a light mist of cooking spray the first time but if you're doing GF donuts, use more than a light mist.
