I have a shortage of space in my kitchen so am always looking for ways to make use of what I have. These magnetic holders are fabulous.
They hold the butcher knife without any trouble. The entire knife set is up there, along with other favorites and my kitchen sheers.
Only the sharpener didn't stick.
The only non cupboard, non tiled, non window space I had to hang them was on the end of my cupboard next to my corner sink. The cupboard had a "filler" on the wall end which isn't flush and made the actual flat space just shy of the 12" needed.
I decided to try it anyway, laying the end over the top. Sure, it tips out a tiny bit, but works just fine.
I actually ordered 2 holders and have one above the other so I have 2 rows of knives. Works great.
I love having my knives accessable right where I need them, getting the knife block off the counter, and eleminating the crowding in the drawer. I am also better at hand cleaning, drying and putting them up right away.
I have always worried about children and knives. Don't like them in drawers, blocks, or on the wall. Because these are on the end, they aren't really visible unless one really looks for them.
