Customer Review: Ill-fitting lid

The compost keeper arrived in good shape: it looks OK. However, the body of the keeper is slightly out of round so the lid (which is perfectly round) does not sit down very neatly.
Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback. I was thinking of returning the item, but mailing costs would have been prohibitive.

I've had this compost bucket for a year and really liked it. I kept the filters fresh and never had a problem with odor. It looked nice on the counter- that is until first I chipped off a 2 inch hunk from the bottom rim while emptying it in my large compost bin outside. I was able to glue it back together and turn the bad side toward the wall. Yesterday I bumped it against the counter and got another huge chip in the base. Now I'm replacing it with a stainless steel one.Customer Review: Compost Crock

I've had one of these for a couple of years and use it every day. The handle slips off easily so you can wash the crock in the dishwasher, but is secure for carrying it to the compost bin. I wash the entire thing (including the filter) in the dishwasher as needed. Most of the time I don't even need to use the filter, as there is no odor when it is taken out to the compost pile daily. I'm completely happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who likes to compost.Customer Review: Great gift

I purchased this as a birthday gift for a neighbor who is also into organic gardening. They were using a plastic coffee can to gather coffee grounds, vegetable peelings, etc. for their compost pile. This looks so nicely on their counter with all the other white accessories. This is something I'll have to treat myself to as well. It seals well and there is no odor. Plus, when the compost is done you'll have black gold for your flower beds!!!Customer Review: Unhappy

I was very unhappy when this crock arrived, I have seen many of these crocks from differenr manufactures, This one being the most expensive I thought it would be the best. I was wrong!! Crock looks cheap, the handle keeps falling off every time it is moved. Handle made from cheap wire. I would have sent it back if I did not live in such a remote location where returns are very expensive. I will not advise anyone to buy this product.
