This is a nice little compost bin until you drop it by accident. My husband recently dropped the top of it, and one huge piece broke off along with several small pieces. We have decided to buy a stainless steel bin. Other than that, we have enjoyed using it.Customer Review: Impractical!

This compost keeper is way too small to be usable. I would fill it up twice a day! The ceramic is too heavy and the top requires the use of two hands, difficult to do when in the midst of cooking and food preparation. Its ended up as a dog food receptacle.Customer Review: buy another kind

The metal handle slides off the ceramic knobs too easily to be functional. A sturdy side handle would make one-handed operation much easier. Looks nice and keeps odors down, but does nothing to stop the fruit flies - they're swarming inside and out.Customer Review: What a crock!

The crock looks terrific and is quite handy. Easy to empty and clean out. I only wish I could control the little fruit flies that seem to be ALL OVER IT. It is a disgusting sight. I empty the crock daily, but those little BUG-gers still appear.
