Customer Review: The perfect complement to my outdoor composter

I bought this ceramic compost keeper, because I was not willing to pay for the stainless steel version. The only disadvantage I can see about this one is the possibility of chipping it; however, it's just a matter of handling it with care.
I initially selected red, because I wanted to buy it directly from Amazon. At that point they weren't selling the white one that I could find. It turns out I LOVE the red one; it adds a little bright spot to my kitchen that is probably good feng shui.
I am finally using the outdoor compost bin that I paid quite a bit of $$ for. I could not get in the habit of using the outdoor bin without something to "catch the scraps" in the kitchen. This is the perfect motivator.
I got the book, Let it Rot, to help me learn how to do things "properly". Composting should be a requirement for all households. It keeps a lot of scraps out of landfills and puts them to good use. Another thing I bought that isn't really a requirement is the bio bags (3 gallon size) so that I can just fill a bag and throw it right into my composter. Some people say they've had problems with the bags beginning to break down before they're out of their trash cans; however, this probably shouldn't be a big deal when using them in a compost keeper. It should still help to keep the "keeper" more clean than using no bag at all.
