Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Nordic Ware Scottish Scone & Cornbread PanCustomer Review: Nice corn bread. Summary: 4 Stars
I use the scone pan for corn bread. If my wife and I use a standard corn bread pan, it is too much, or if less mix is used, the corn bread is too thin. The compartments work just right to bake a serving with a little left over for later. I thought the pan was not enough like the cast iron one I have used, but the compartments give just the right crust all around each serving.
Customer Review: Great 5 Stars
I have purchased this pan, as well as two others as gifts, because I enjoy baking with this, producing great, perfect scones each time. I use a recipe that came with the original Nordic ware pan. This pan bakes evenly, quickly and perfect scones pop out each time. I spray it with Pam or a like spray oil lightly, and the cleanup is quick. Would recommend it for scone bakers.
Customer Review: Perfect for cornbread and scones Summary: 5 Stars
This small pan has a hefty weight to it. It bakes food evenly and clean up is a breeze. I like it so much that I will buy the smaller scone pan version. Except for the cheaper, lighter weight Nordic Ware products which I do not recommend, all other NW products have been a joy to bake treats. Also to preserve the pan, I recommend hand washing only.
Customer Review: Happy Mom Summary: 4 Stars
After years of searching, I found this non-stick scones pan for my mother-in-law. She's more of a cornbread gal, but just had to make scones the day after she opened her gifts. Her old pan has lost its non-stick surface so everything was hard to get out of the wedges. Thanks Amazon and thanks Nordic Ware.
Customer Review: Pan and scones are good Summary: 4 Stars
What can you say 'bout a pan? It works. It has good weight, bakes evenly and stuff pops right out. Eventually, all non-stick coatings wear out. Time will tell. Not sure why it's twice the price of the Lodge cast iron pan.
This was our first experience with scones, but definitely not our last. Yum.
