I was gifted with one of these and am still considering whether I need another one because I make at least two rum bundt cakes during holiday seasons. Mine is over a year old, and so far, there are no cracks or other breakage, even though I have run it through the dishwasher. I did read the other reviews and am very careful in handling it and don't let my husband near it for helpings. It is very helpful to have this for transporting cakes at the holidays. I'm basically waiting for Amazon to run it for $10 again with super saver shipping.Customer Review: Got Lots of Compliments...

So far this product has lived up to its value of $14.99 (Amazon Prime - free 2 day shipping). But yes, I do agree with the previous reviewers that this product is not like the flexible Tupperware plastic, but you must wash it by hand & be careful for scratches & avoid throwing it around when storing. I'll let you know if anything happens to this product as time goes on. It's an ongoing review for life of this product. I've just gotten into baking Bundt Cakes as hobby for friends/co-workers/classmates.Customer Review: looks beautiful, but not very durable

I ordered this one and the one for a 9x12 rectangle cake. They are both beautiful and look wonderful on a buffet. My problem is that as they are used, they scratch very easily. Even using a soft silicone server piece, at the end of the party there were numerous scratches on the bottom plates. I always cool my cakes completely, so have had none of the cracking problem, but the scratches make them very ugly for serving things on. I also only wash by hand. I was very disappointed in the wearability.Customer Review: Functions Well, but Fragile

Looks great, carries well, lid locking mechanism is tight (although a bit sticky), and functions to keep the household cats from licking any frosting when you're not looking.
Unlike a previous reviewer, mine did arrive in one piece. That said, the plate cracked from the handle toward the center in one week (maybe from the stress of my hubby's constant helpings). Hopefully a manufacturing flaw, but since it is hard plastic (not soft Tupperware), it is more susceptible to cracking.

I use mine all the time, and haven't experienced the cracking problem that other reviewers have complained about. Mine didn't crack during shipment, and it's still going strong after many uses. I think one would have to try really hard to crack this plastic... but I never put warm cake on it, and I always wash and dry it by hand. Also, it's lightweight and the lid locks easily so you can carry it. IMO, this is a very useful product to have if you bake Bundt cakes.
