We have a castle-shaped Bundt cake pan and I needed a way to transport the completed, decorated cake to a party an hour away.
This is a perfect fit, and is a convenient place to store the cooled cake before decorating it. (No need to mess with -- and waste -- foil or plastic wrap.)
I've read some of the other reviews concerning its fragility. It seems pretty sturdy to me, but the instructions do recommend handling it carefully -- hand wash, and use a soft towel to dry it so the plastic won't get scratched (it really is crystal clear and looks great). Mine arrived in perfect condition.
I will post again if it doesn't survive an adequate number of uses.

In reading all the other reviews, I must say mine has had no problems. It arrived in one piece. I've made cakes multiple times (sometimes in the space of days rather than weeks), it has fallen to the floor (accidentally - thank goodness it was not holding any cake) and not cracked. Aesthetically, it is a nice looking piece. Mind you, I never put the cake directly on the plastice. I use wax paper on the bottom (it's easy to cut to measurement since it has that nice ridge - hold down the wax paper, draw a circle, cut), so I don't know if that makes a difference. I use the paper to help keep cleanup to a minimum. And, I never put the cake keeper in the dishwasher.Customer Review: Great accessory!

Unlike most things I purchase, I didn't read any reviews for this, I just bought it, and I'm happy I did! I have made several cakes and haven't had a problem. I use it to take cakes to work and to friends' homes where many people open and close it, and it has held up really well. I love how pretty it looks with the cake inside it, and how nicely it keeps the cake moist and protected from dust and things falling on it. I don't carry it by the "handle" since it doesn't look like it's designed for carrying. I have put it in the cupboard pretty roughly and it seems like it will hold up - but again, have only had it a few months. Oh, and it's made in the USA.Customer Review: Love it!

I am delighted with my bundt cake keeper! It keeps my bundt cakes fresh and moist for so long. Since I usually bake Pistachio bundt cakes with homemade whipped cream, I store it in the refrigerator. My first cake stayed moist and fresh for a little more than a week! I wouldn't want to be without it!
My first bundt care keeper arrived promply, but was broken in places. I think that this was due to shipping. However, when I notified Amazon of the problem, I had an overnight delivery of a perfect new Nordic Ware Deluxe Bundt Cake Keeper the following day!

I bought this Cake Taker in a set that came with a rose bundt pan and I have used it a handful of times...I love the way it looks and since I usually take the cake to family or friends..I always come home with no cake to spare...so its not freshness that I am most concerned about...the acrylic seemed pretty sturdy but just the same..it cracked..and I hand wash and didnt drop it...I suspect a warm cake must have done it...none the less since I didnt have a receipt..no store will exchange it..waste of good money!..Very Disappointing since I have a lot of Nordic Ware Products and love them all!
