Pan results in a beautiful cake. I had no difficulty removing it from the pan - used the leading cooking spray, then dusted it thoroughly with cake flour and tapped out the excess. I was surprised the pan holds a full box mix - it doesn't look like it would. The cake mix that allows you to add instant pudding to produce a pound cake version works well since it has more "substance" than the regular cake mix version. I am looking forward to doing a lemon cake with a glaze to highlight the daisies. This first time I did devils food and then outlined the daisies with the aerosole canned frosting and M&Ms in the middle of each flower. It turned out very cute and whimsical, and my four year old granddaughter loved it.Customer Review: Use Wilton Cake Release

I love the shape, but getting cakes out is a pain. I've tried so many combinations, and especially with non-box cakes, it's touch and go. With Crisco and Wondra, it left ugly residues on my cakes when they did come out. A friend suggested using Wilton's Cake Release (available at Michael's and JoAnn's and other cake decorating supply places) and it worked like a charm! Plus, it didn't leave yucky Crisco marks or extra flour on the cake, and there's virtually no taste (I hate the taste of cooking spray.) I used a pastry brush to brush a thin layer over the whole interior, left it to cool ten minutes, and turned it over with super results. Yay! I used this pan for the first time for a Daisy Girl Scout Investiture. I used PAM for Baking spray on the pan and a Duncan Hines cake mix and had no problems at all. The cake cooled a bit longer than 15 minutes, but I just tapped on the pan and it came right out. Everyone raved about how great the cake was and the girls were excited that it had daisies on it. The description here does not give the dimensions. It's roughly 8 x 11 -- a little small for standard recipes. Also, with all Nordicware, GREASE & FLOUR the pan vs. using a spray. Your cake will stick, otherwise.
