I needed a new square baking pan. When reviewing the different pans, I decided it would be nice to have a pan with a lid. I think a metal lid will last longer than a plastic lid. The reason I gave this pan 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lid does not come off the pan as easily as a larger, lidded pan I have. Perhaps with use, it will come off a little easier.
