Customer Review: Fabulous but only for a while

I bought a Nordic egg cooker for a friend, and she raved about it so much that I got one, too. It cooked eggs perfectly for a while and was easy to use. Unfortunately, part of it is a band that helps seal the product in the microwave. My cleaning lady threw mine out, thinking it was a rubber band, and that was that. My friend's product warped slightly shortly thereafter, and she could no longer use hers either. So it's back to boiling on the stove. The plastic needs to be more durable for long-term use, and the band should be part of the product--that is, attached to it.Customer Review: Eggsplosion!

I've used this product for the past couple of months and I absolutely loved it! ...right up until this morning when it exploded in the microwave. My cats ran for cover and the KA-BOOM! sound nearly gave me heart failure... and then instead of breakfast I spent the next 45 minutes cleaning up the mess. There were eggs everywhere--on the counters, the stovetop, the floor -- every surface within 2 feet of the microwave got pelted with fine egg particles (and the microwave door was still closed). Well, it was nice while it lasted. I won't be buying another one though.

I first saw this product in use while staying at a cousin's house. She made us hard boiled eggs, which were just right. I though it was great and wanted one of my own. I just got it and have used it just once so far. I used the enclosed guide, but the eggs came out medium-hard cooked using the time given for soft cooked in a microwave with the wattage ours has. I think it's going to take a bit of trial and error to get the time right for my microwave. The egg cooker is simple to use and easy to clean, though, and I'm sure will work just fine once I get the time right.Customer Review: Best Little Egg Boiler

My sister first purchased this item, she is known as "grandma gadget". She raved about it, so I bought one. The first time I made soft boiled eggs, I times them for "soft" - not great. The next time was on "medium" and they turned out wonderful. It took me longer to peel the eggs than to cook them. My husband loves them for breakfast and I love not having to heat up the range for this. My sister also uses this for steaming veggies. She puts the water in the bottom, the veggies in the top, and steams them to her liking. I will have to give this a try.Customer Review: Easy Eggs!

A friend recommend that I buy this because it makes doing hardboiled eggs really easy, espeically when you just want a few. Now hardboiled eggs are necessarily difficult, but I decided to try it out anyways. I followed the directions by adding the water, eggs, sealing it up and microwaving for the required time. when it was finished it was HOT - be very careful removing it from your microwave so you don't spill and burn yourself. Once the eggs are removed though, there is very little clean up and the eggs were perfect. I give 5 Stars to this invention!!
