Finding a fine-grate plastic strainer was imperative toward my kefir production efforts. Metal strainers cannot be used with kefir. The strainer is removable and it's extremely easy to clean. The funnel fits quite nicely in a wide-mouth ball jar. I love the product! Too bad the company isn't manufacturing it any longer.
