Not long ago, my 5 year old granddaughter was visiting, and I made her an breakfast egg sandwich. She told me, "Grandma, the egg isn't round like I get at school." After looking at every store I could think of to purchase egg rings, and not being able to find them, I turned to Amazon.com. After looking at the numerous sets they have, and reading the reviews of all of them, I decided to purchase this set. And let me tell you, they are great. Like a lot of the reviews stated, I did spray a little non-stick spray in them. And to avoid leakage of the egg white under the ring, I did put the ring into the frying pan and heated it for about 30 seconds. And guess what?? I now have perfectly round fried eggs for my breakfast sandwiches. They fit perfectly on a muffin....just the right size. And they clean up easily, too. I must say, I have never tried the handle due to the fact that I never make more than 3 fried eggs at a time. But I have had no problem removing the ring using a pair of tongs. I am VERY happy with this product, and have recommended it to many people. I was very anxious for the next time my granddaughter came, so that I could make her a breakfast sandwich. And, needless to say, she was very surprised and happy. Just let me tell you, you can't go wrong with this set.Customer Review: You have to use it to get used to it!!!

I purchased this item because my husband wanted me to try out egg rings. After reading the reviews, this one had the highest recommends so I purchased. Read the reviews so I sprayed the rings with nonstick cooking spray first, made sure I had out my square 12"x12" pan so I could do all 4 rings at once. I cracked the eggs & started to fill each one with an egg, like others have mentioned a small amount leaks out but stops rapidly enough. Then I broke the yolk since I was making egg breakfast sandwiches, then I picked up the holder handle & handle came up & off but nothing else, so I agree lose the handle & holder, just use the rings & tongs/flipper/etc. to lift up when ready. Sometimes the egg does still stick to the side but just take your flipper & scrap around the inside edge & this usually works well enough. Like a few of the other reviewers have mentioned better than the eggs running into each other, eggs fit better on the muffin, biscuit, or bagel. I have not used for pancakes because that's a baby pancake 3.5" & I prefer a nice large one. If I had it all over to do again, I would look for a single nonstick round frame with a nice 2-3" handle with a wooden knob on top. These rings are the perfect size for making eggs to put on english muffins or small hamburger buns. (like the Breakfast Jack) I have not tried to make pancakes in them, because they would be really tiny and I do not have a need for perfectly round pancakes. This product consists of four separate rings that can connect to a handle. I have had my best results when I just use the rings by themselves and don't bother with the handle. The eggs still stick to the edge of the ring a little bit, so I have to tap the spatula against the ring as I am lifting it up (using a glove-style potholder. When the rings are all connected it is harder to get each egg out of the ring cleanly. Also, be aware that if your pan is a little warped, then a little bit of egg can leak from under the ring. If you just leave it, however, the little bit that leaks will cook fast and prevent more from leaking out.Overall, I love these! I worked at Jack in the Box as a teenager and have always wanted egg rings. I gave it 4 stars just because the handle is kind of flimsy and it really is impractical to use for pancakes.

I bought this thinking that it was one piece ..but no it's six pieces..they don't even snap into place so that they are fixed tight..you assemble them by slotting the rings into this piece which comes apart really easily...the rings are held loosely and I mean loosely together by this center piece that you put the rings into and a plastic handle that loosely fits onto that center piece..very hard to describe. I didn't like the fact that it was so loose but I decided to give it a try so I put in the eggs and then when I tried to pull off the rings with the handle to turn the eggs over and as I was lifting it off the griddle the handle broke apart from the center piece and dropped the eggs down spilling part of the eggs on me and the rings came apart from the center piece and everything fell onto the griddle. It was a mess. These are not good rings for eggs or anything else. I grew up in the restaurant business where I used good rings on the griddle and never had any trouble like this one. This one is just cheap junk...and now it is trash because I threw it in the garbage along with the eggs.Customer Review: GOOD-BYE McDonalds :-)

:-) Just received this item and it was very much worth the purchase. I love to make my own egg muffins in the morning and I have been using a tin biscut cutter to mold my egg for the english muffin. One of the problems with my biscut cutter is: I use an iron skillet and when I would place the cutter in the buttered skillet the egg would stick to the sides of the tin cutter even if I sprayed it before-hand with non-stick spray.
I found this Egg/Pancake Ring Set here at Amazon and hoped it lived up to its' description. YES IT DID! I like the idea that I can use 1 ring or all 4 with this design. The handle is a type of heavy heat resistant plastic and stays cool when using it with a ring; the greatest thing I enjoyed is the eggs did not stick to the sides of the forms.
Yesterday I cooked pancakes in the rings and using this item made great pancakes that fluffed beautifully and they did not stick. I GIVE THIS ITEM 4 STARS (I don't give 5's for I always feel there is room for improvement in all products.) :-)
