Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of New Metro Design Beater Blade for KitchenAid 6-Quart & 5-Plus Mixers, WhiteCustomer Review: What an improvement! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this paddle to use with my 6-qt Kitchenaid, and it's just great: tried it out with cookie dough, and it did a nice job sweeping the inside of the bowl. BIG improvement over the paddle that ships with the Kitchenaid. My only criticism: it took a little finagling to get the blade socketed into place, but honestly, not a big deal. I definitely recommend this beater.
Customer Review: Simple solution - the end of butter clumps! Summary: 5 Stars
This beater blade is genius! Why didn't I think of this? It's a spatula and beater blade in one, and it really comes to bring it. You can forget about butter clumps in your cake batter and missed eggs in your cookie dough. This blade scrapes the sides of the bowl as it beats like you had a spatula out between every rotation. A must have for anyone with a kitchenaid mixer!!
Customer Review: It works, but.... Summary: 3 Stars
The beater blade is good and does clean the side of the bowl. However, I find it retains the "thinner" (ie: eggs, etc) in the middle of the blade and I have to make sure it get mixed back in by stopping and pushing it out into the batter. Also the blade retains some of the first mixed dough on the blade so it is advisable to scrape it off before you are finsihed mixing.
Customer Review: Hopefully more durable than past model Summary: 4 Stars
My wife loves this beater for her 6 qt. Kitchenaid mixer and Amazon has a great price on it, but:
I hope this "white" color beater is more durable than the older "clear" color ones.
She only bakes twice a year, for Christmas and Easter. I would like to think she could get more than 2 or 3 years out of one.
They crack around the attachment to the mixer.
Customer Review: Pass on this one! Summary: 2 Stars
This beater does not scrape the sides of the bowl adequately I still had to periodically scrape the sides of my mixing bowl and it did not glide smoothly it would stick so I had to spray the beater and inside of the mixing bowl with non-stick spray before using and this only works for a few minutes before the problem resumed, nice concept but dose not really work.
