Although some demonstrations I saw were very convincing, I was a little nervous purchasing the Beater Blade after reading some reviews. However let me tell ya...the demo was accurate.
For icing/cake/cookie batters...The blade does a wonderful job scraping the sides of the bowl as well as the bottom. I no longer have to use a huge spatula to get in there and incorporate all the ingredients.
That saves so much time elminating that step! So I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the New Metro Design Beater Blade!

I just received this last week and finally used it today on a Yogurt Cranberry Coffeecake recipe. It did just what it was supposed to. I creamed the butter and sugar - with no scraping of bowl needed. Then I mixed the batter - again no scraping of the bowl. Whoo Hoo! I see KitchenAid has finally put out a scraper-beater of their own, but only for the Artisan mixer. I am very happy that I ordered this! I intend to be careful not to use it on very stiff doughs, but this is a tool that I'll use frequently with my KA mixer.Customer Review: I love this beater blade!

I love this thing. Honestly, I cannot believe someone didn't think of it sooner. I don't ever use the beater that came with my KitchenAid stand mixer anymore because this one is far superior. I used to have a problem with ingredients at the bottom of the bowl and on the sides not getting mixed in, but this basically makes sure that you get everything incorporated into whatever you're mixing. At first, I thought it seemed lightweight because it was plastic, but it has turned out to be as good a workhorse as my mixer!Customer Review: Amazing!

I bake a little - not professionally, but for fun. My biggest challenge has been scraping down the bowl, especially when making my cheesecake. No matter how hard I tried, it seemed that there were always some chunks of cream cheese that I couldn't get off the sides and they ended up in my batter. This beater blade fixed it. It did an amazing job. We also made fruitcake at Christmas, and it worked beautifully with that batter as well. I highly recommend it!Customer Review: No More Scraping!

No more scraping! After using my Kitchenaid weekly for the past 50 years, I have to admit that I should have thought of this new blade! It works exactly as described, and eliminates all those starts and stops to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl. I made a batch of cookies in half the time! Somewhat difficult to clean, as there are nooks and crannies to get clean, but hey, that's what the dishwasher is for! Enjoy!
