I bought the Nesco FD-75PR food dehydrator to replace my old dehydrator (which is no fan and very low). I totally satisfied for what I bought. Great product! The machine is strong and have variable temperatures to choose. I used it to make beef jerky, it turned out perfect and only needed 7 hours to be done. I also used it to dehydrate some fruit candies that I made for our New Year "Tet". They were awesome. It's a smart design to place the fan on top lid as the juice came out from meat or fruit won't make the fan dirty.
The only unconvenient I see is no On/OFF switch. If it's have this on/off switch, it is 5 star product, that's why I only rated it 4 star. In anyway, if you don't mind of this small missing function, I recommended this to you.

I had been researching dehydrators for months and finally decided on this one. I am happy I did. I have dried veggies, fruits, made jerky and fruit leathers so far. It is easy to use, has great recipes and works well. It is nice to be able to give the kids snacks that are not full of sugars and things no one can pronounce. I only wish it had a timer. I will probably use a regular timer and plug it into that.

I bought this dehydrator based on all the good reviews here on Amazon. I have not been disappointed. At this point, the only thing I wish is that I had the money to buy more trays! I have had my dehydrator running almost constantly since it got here 2 weeks ago. I have dried an abundance of fruit. My sugar-fanatic husband munches on the dried fruit like candy. I have also put the fruit chips in my morning oatmeal with great success. Fruit leathers are the best! I love that I have an alternative to high sugar, high preservatives fruit roll ups. After fruit season is over, I am looking forward to trying my hand at drying whole meals to use for those "I don't want to cook" days or for backpacking.The possibilities on this one are endless.Customer Review: Not one thing negative to say.

Item arrived quickly, and works great.
The heater, and fan on top of the unit is a plus.
I think the time it takes to dehydrate food is perfect, in fact I use a lower setting on all foods than is suggested, as dehydrating foods to quickly is not what I seek when dehydrating.
Some people say that it needs a shutoff switch.
I disagree, I think that unplugging the dehydrator after use is positive, not negative.
PS: on a side note, those that have left negative comments on some of my past reviews (which had nothing to do with the item at hand),
I am a Satanist, now please just get over it and leave comments that are related to whatever item is being reviewed.

I LOVE this dehydrator! My dehydrator went into overtime at Christmas when I used it to make Beef Jerky, and Dog Treats for my family and friends! This machine gets the job done qickly. Some of the great features of this are:
1 - do not have to rotate trays
2 - has adjustable tempature dial
3 - dries quickly w/ no buring
4 - durable trays
5 - small footprint
6 - able to locate accessories easily
7 - material, the dehydrator does not yellow like some other makers
NESCO to me means quality and wouldn't expect anything less from this company! This is an excellent price, just make sure you get all your accessories at the same time because you will need them once you get going!
