Customer Review: Awesome appliance like owning a second extra large crockpot

This is a very handy gadget, Great for dieters who want cut back on calories too cause the roasting rack inside the fat can drip off the meats. Plus roasting is a healthier method of cooking, as well as this can steam, poach and also slow cook. I have a 6 quart older rival crockpot been in family for years still works so still use it but sometimes you run across recipes that might not exactly fit that or cuts of meat that are odd sizes or oblong or you want to fit a full boiled dinner,or like this past st patricks day did a boiled dinner was able to fit a nice sized eye of round corned beef, the cabbage, the potatoes, the carrots and some baby turnips with liquid turned out great i don't know what or why it happened but for some odd reason this time around my boiled dinner had a better flavor in this thing then one i have cooked on the stove in the past probably cause everything had more room to accumulate more flavor instead of stuck in a big stock pot all smushed together. I am very impressed with for roasting chickens, turkeys. I have not tried to bake in it or use baking pans etc but it does sound like a nice idea for in the summer instead of heating up the whole house and wasting a huge amount of electricty in today's world of trying to live greener I find for most part kitchen gadgets to help in that area. makes dieting more fun fixing the food myself less getting into trouble.
