This is about the easiest thing you can do to go green. It has one button which is just super easy. You don't have to get out the old pitch fork, and there are no worms to deal with (ick!). It is a little easier to balance the greens and browns because they supply you with a batch of sawdust pellets (browns) and they tell you how much to add and where to get more. It does not do corn cobs which is a bummer but we still love it because it can do meat and fish which our old backyard bin can not. We still keep the backyard bin for large yard waste that we don't want to bring into our house, but other than that it just sits outside getting lonely. Sorry compost bin! Naturemill is just a better alternative for us.Customer Review: good for home use

This is a good product for home use. I would not use it for commercial use such as a restaurant or a landscaping business. The deluxe version is more expensive and seems be more durable and possible sufficient for restaurant use but I can't vouch for that. This basic model is fine for my needs. I only use it in my kitchen. It has worked well for the past year that I have owned it. The operation is very simple with only one button and one light to tell you when to empty it. The door is a little tight but at least it doesn't leak.Customer Review: If you wanna be green..

I bought my Naturemill pro from the naturemill.com website with a group order discount. I received it two weeks later. Its ready to use right out of the box. No need to assemble anything. The manual is very easy to understand. It comes with sawdust pellets and baking soda, so you don't need to go out and buy anything. Its very simple to use. I plugged it up on a Thursday and by Sunday, the stuff is already looking like dirt. It has a low whirring noise but its not loud or anything. If you want to make compost fast, like within your life time, then get this product. You will have compost within a month of purchasing it, and every 2 to 3 weeks hence forth. All of the old style tumblers take at least 6 months, if the weather cooperates, and years if the weather is cold where you live. I don't mind waiting for the grass to grow, but I will NOT wait around for compost to just happen. Love this machine! Some day we will all look back and wonder how we did composting in the olden days.Customer Review: cool concept, not so great machine

I think that an indoor automatic composter is a great idea, but I would not reccommend this particular unit. The mixing blades do not completely clear the sides and the bottom, which means that you have to mix the compost by hand if you don't want a hardened mass of compost that will jam the machine every time. Having to mix your compost by hand kinda defeats the purpose of spending $400 for a machine that should do it for you.
