Customer Review: Problems with the non-stick coating.

Don't buy. The non stick coating came off onto the burgers on the second use, I will have to throw the whole thing away. I also had the same problems with food sticking and clean up was extremely difficult. It is smaller then I thought, but the preschoolers enjoyed the tiny burgers. Ground turkey worked better, with less grease mess then hamburger. If you don't clean it between batches, anything left behind got burnt and smoked up the house. The burgers didn't seem to cook evenly and when the top gets pressed on, the steam coming up could be dangerous. I have used the BigCity Slider station twice now, each time with delicous results. The scoop measures the exact amount of meat so that you can actually cook the burgers quickly and thoroughly. I did generously spray with Pam each time before using, and I have not had a problem with the Teflon coating coming off. Clean up is a little harder than what the commercial indicates, but letting the pan soak for just a little while really helps. It's not any harder to clean up than a regular griddle. Worked great. The kids loved the burgers and it was a quick meal to make. I agree with other comments that the burgers are small but they seem to be the appropriate size for a slider. I would give it a much higher rating except the coating on the press came off after the first use (possibly in our food). Makes me sick just thinking about it. I hope someone will come up with a higher quality version of the slider pan. It has a lot of potential but I would not reccomend this particular pan to anyone given the coating issue.Customer Review: Don't buy - waste of money

Everything works as advertised EXCEPT the cleanup - it's impossible to clean. The nonstick coat IS NOT as advertised. The lid for pressing the burgers down is impossible to clean. Dishwasher or hand washing is of little use. Food gets in the angled crevices and is difficult under ANY circumstances to remove. You spend half an hour making up a slew of mini burgers and then spend several hours trying to clean the pan to make more. I had to throw mine out after second use. Extremely disappointed. Purchased this today to make a turker burger dinner for me and my girlfriend. The slider station ruined the dinner. The first batch of 5 turned out perfect, bought the other 9 burgers (bought a pound of turkey) came out with a silver coating that I can only assume came from the non-stick coating. The meat had to be thrown away. I strongly recommend against purchasing this product, and have also sent a letter to the company that makes it to see their response.
