Customer Review: Way too hot, one setting

I touched the one @ my local Brookstone store at 1pm which means the fan had only been on for 3 hours. It was so hot to the touch that it could give me a low-degree burn if I kept touching it for even just a few minutes. It was THAT hot & energy-inefficient. You're wasting electricity on heat more than the vane motion probably. Also, why only one setting? I could feel the wind fine considering its size & I couldn't judge its noise output as I was in a store w/ all sorts of other noises in the background. The unit felt very well-built otherwise. The blades are quite safe (soft) to touch (adult fingers) even while in motion.
