Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Mr. Beer Deluxe Edition Home Microbrewery System

Customer Review: My husband was pleased
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this for a birthday present for my husband. He already had one just like it, so I picked him up a second one so he could have a batch going all the time. THe kit is a very good deal because it comes with everything you need.
Think about buying 2.
No, it isn't like totally 'from scratch' brewing but according to my picky husband, who won't drink much but expensive imported beer, it's really good beer.

Customer Review: Brew Great Beer at Home!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was given the Mr. Beer kit as a birthday gift and was skeptical about using it at first. After I finally got around to using it, I was kicking myself that I did not start sooner! This Kit really does make very good tasting beer. I have since made several more batches, and each one has been great. And the best part is each batch has made about a case of beer for under $11, way cheaper than buying beer at the store.

Customer Review: LOVE THIS
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and it has been a hit. Once he and his brother tried the first batch of beer, his brother went and bought one also. The ale that comes with the kit is suppose to be one of the lowest quality beers that works with the kit and both of the guys were still impressed with the flavor. The only downfall, I just started my husband on a hobby of brewing his own beer.

Customer Review: Keg is made from deadly #3 plastic, also known as PVC
Summary: 1 Stars

I gave this 1 star to catch the attention of fellow buyers. The plastic keg in this kit is made with #3 plastic, which is extremely toxic. The beer is pretty good itself and the kit is easy to use. You can ferment the beer in a glass jar or other plastic if you have it available as an alternative to this keg. DO NOT FERMENT THE BEER IN THE PLASTIC KEG IF IT SAYS #3 PLASTIC ON THE BOTTOM.

Customer Review: Fun and easy.
Summary: 5 Stars

Have made 3 2 gallon batches of great tasting beer - West Coast Pale Ale, High Country Canadian Draft, and Octoberfest Vienna Lager. The process is as easy as making soup and as fun as making cookies. Just make sure to sanitize everything and follow the directions. The only problem is that I no longer want nor can tolerate the bad taste of most bottled commercial beer.
