I've only made one of the three packets, but it was straightforward and easy to prepare. The flavor was mediocre at best, but I'm not sure if that's my fault or Mr. Beer's. However, for a first-time homebrewer, it was a good starting point. It also made a lot of beer for a low cost compared to other simple homebrew options. I'd recommend it if you're a beginner looking for something cheap and easy to try.Customer Review: good for starters

Mr. Beer website offers more than just the starters pack. You can get extra hops or different herbs. This one is good but the bottles are not that great. Mr. Beer does sell glass bottles, caps, and a cap winch. For carbonation this works much better. oh and ferment your beer longer than 7 days like the basic recipe says. We have been using Mr. Beer products for a couple of years now but my husband has not stopped raving about the flavoring of this variety pack. Because I don't prefer dark beer, I am looking forward to the Canadian mix but he did the dark one and he enjoyed them more than any of the other lighter beers we have done. If you don't have a lot of time and you want to create some great beer, this is for you. The sample beers that come with the kit are just ok, nothing special but they are not that bad either, but..... if you order some of the more advanced recipes you can get at mrbeer's website , those are fantastic, you can really make some incredible beer!!Customer Review: MR. Its one of the best products for someone just starting out making quality craft beers. I still use mine for brewing small quantities of beer so I know which ones to purchase for my large setup. It will give you the knowledge you need to begin on your long quest for the beer brewed perfectly for you. Knowledge is power and beer is great!!
