I've moved alot of heavy stuff with these handy slides. The large (7" diameter) ones work best. I find myself not using the smaller ones much, not that theres anything wrong with them. I've purchased some off brand clones at the dollar store but they are not even close to the quality of the original moving men. I think it is obvious but these should only be used on carpet. If used on a hard surface the bottoms get scratched making them not slide as well. I think every home should have these.Customer Review: BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!

I am a single woman and I am always trying to rearrange items in my home to give it a "new" look. I purchased these moving men to help do this. I was a little skeptical when I saw how thin they were. I was quickly amazed at how easy these little disks made moving my couch, entertainment center with the tv and all dvd's and other accumulated junk and a lot of other big items. I am still not sure how they glide so smoothly over carpet. THESE THINGS WORK! Do not let the low price fool you.Customer Review: Great on carpet

I purchased these for our latest house move. I was hoping that they would allow my wife and I to arrange our furniture without having to wait for our son or son-in-law to come over - we have some large furniture. Well, they worked great on the carpet, but I have been afraid to try them on our wood floors since they are scratching pretty easily.
If you have carpet, I would highly recommend them. They allow you to slide furniture without snagging or stretching your carpet.

They work famtastic. We were doing some remodeling in the house and it went on forever. I had moved my fireplace to the middle of the room and it set there for over a month. I was afraid to move it because I was afraid there would be big marks. My friend gave me the moving men to get it up off the carpet so I put them under it and moved it like it was on glass. We just left them under so we could keep moving it back and forth.
That is why I then ordered myself two sets of them.

I have used mine over and over, and they make moving heavy furniture so easy, especially if you don't have anyone to help you. The spongey top helps to hold the item in place while the plastic bottom glides almost effortlessly across carpet. I also have the Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps if you want to pick something up and move it out so you can paint a room or load it onto a truck, but you do need a second person for those. I will never move furniture without my Moving Men again!
