If you are contemplating moving furniture yourself for any reason, this is the smartest way to move heavy items. One person can move furniture that was completely impossible to move before using the sliders.
The 4 giant sliders work well for treadmills, tables, heavy bookcases and couches. The smaller sliders work well under lighter items like chairs or small tables. The small sliders will slide out from under heavier items, so you might still want to use the giant ones for moving washers, dryers or refrigerators. The other issue is, you will have to get more sliders if you use these for moving those three items as it will be impossible to retrieve the two you used at the back of say the washer.
You can use these to move loaded bookcases, but the truth is, you might compromise the bookcase, so I'd still advise removing at least half the books before you try this. Also, getting the sliders under the bookshelves is a little more difficult when they are full of books!
Recently I used these while cleaning my carpets and they have an added bonus, because you can leave them under the furniture, move the furniture back over to the carpet you just cleaned and continue on. The plastic base keeps furniture safe even on a freshly cleaned carpet.
Another use is while you are vacuuming or doing a big-time cleaning project. You can use the sliders under a bed and move the bed so you can vacuum more easily. I can think of many other uses, but the two main ones are moving heavy desks and for use when cleaning carpets. I'd highly recommend buying two or three boxes, although I've been able to survive with just one box so far. It would have been nice to have at least two boxes while cleaning the carpets.
So, if you want to save your back from strain and you are tired of feeling achy and sore after moving furniture, give these a try. They will impress! The box is also sturdy enough to store the sliders for an extended period of time.

The Moving Men sliders are very simple, but have proven to be quite effective. You simply tilt up whatever you're trying to move and slip these sliders under each corner of the unit. You can then slide the item much more easily. These can be a great help, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
All these do is make things easier to slide. If you need to carry something up or down stairs, these sliders won't help you.
While these sliders will help to make anything easier to slide, heavy objects will still be harder to slide than lighter objects. In fact, I recently moved a very heavy armoire with these sliders. Even with the Moving Men in place, the armoire was still VERY hard to slide, and that's with two big men pushing and pulling. Don't get me wrong, the unit would have been IMPOSSIBLE to slide without these, just don't expect the sliders to make everything feather-light.
Speaking of heavy, if an item is too heavy for you to tip, then you won't be able to get the sliders underneath it. Again, the Moving Men wouldn't help you much.
When sliding an object across a scratchable surface, I'd suggest sweeping the area first. This will help to prevent the sliders from dragging dirt or grit along with them. While the sliders, themselves, shouldn't scratch your floor, anything stuck under the sliders could.
When moving an object up against a wall (a dresser, for example), make sure to position the sliders so that they just barely stick out from the back of the furniture. If you place the back sliders right in the middle of the back corners, then you won't be able to get very close to the wall (as the sliders will bump into the wall before your furniture does).
I haven't had an occasion to use the small sliders, but I could see them being handy for moving something with smaller legs, like a four-legged kitchen table.

These little guys were a lifesaver when we had to move all of the furniture out of the first floor of our house on short notice. We bought three boxes, and they've all managed to come in handy! You never really realize how much you strain yourself trying to move things that are really too heavy for you- that is, until you get a bunch of these sliders, wedge them under that couch/table/piano/dresser and slide it easily across the room or even across the house! Then you feel just how much energy you saved! I can guarantee that anyone who uses these for the first time will get a huge grin on their face at just how easily their dauntingly heavy piece of furniture slides across any kind of carpet. (I can also guarantee that when you've moved the piece of furniture, you'll grab the sliders to do some carpet skating!)
Then there is the added convenience of not having to remove every single thing from whatever it is you're moving- a dresser can be moved without removing the drawers, for example, and we were able to move our bookshelves without removing the books. It saves much time and effort.
The only con to these sliders (and it is just a small gripe) is that they are bright orange! Not a big deal when you're just going to be moving something and putting them away. But we use these for our living room table, which gets moved often- so we just leave the sliders there. They're also very useful for putting under the feet of furniture that you don't want to make a dents/grooves in your carpeting, and the bright orange is an eye-grabber.

I try to review products based on: (1) Value for the price; (2) Performance or quality related to expectations; (3) Experience with the product.
Using that criteria, these sliders are an easy 5 star rating. First, consider the price. Some of the negative reviews complain as though they have been robbed of valuable income for a bad product.... people... they cost about $7.
I was easily able to slide a sofa around a large carpeted room (with turns and adjustments along the way) by myself, with no problem. That is precisely why I ordered these sliders. They cannot repeal the laws of physics - but they greatly reduce friction and make it possible to move heavy or bulky furniture without injuring yourself. Heavier items might require two people - but there is still no lifting required, and that is the value of these (and similar) furniture sliders.
I have not tried them on a hard surface. Before I used them on hardwood I would be very cautious to ensure that the floor was completely free of ANY dirt and the slider surface was super-clean. Even then, there may be micro scratches created by the drag and friction - again, the laws of physics have not been repealled. If I did have to move a heavy item across a wood floor with these, I would probably try to find an area rug to lay down first...
In my opinion they work great. They stay put under the furniture legs, make furniture easy to slide (especially on carpet), and are very inexpensive.

My 85 year old father was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Thankfully, our church was happy to deliver an 'electric chair' that could lay back, or literally rare up until Daddy's feet could hit the floor if he needed to walk somewhere though he couldn't use his arm strength to lift himself out of the chair. It is a HEAVY chair because it has a huge motor in it. The two men that delivered it could hardly get it in the door, much less move it around.
Well, a week after Daddy got the chair, he decided he wanted his old Lazyboy back in place where the new 'electric chair' had been placed because it's not too comfortable in the seat. My parents were all up in arms that they wouldn't be able to find ANYONE to help them move the chairs cuz all their friends are as old as they are, they didn't want to call back to the Church, and I'm their only daughter and don't have the muscle or the back to even get help to do it!
NOW HERE's THE REVIEW PART.......All I can say is that this product is SO SIMPLE, yet SIMPLY AMAZING and we moved the chairs in no time flat, even over Oriental rugs, with these great sliders. Now Mom is so excited, we're going to use the smaller set to move her china and curio cabinets around. As my janitors at school told me, "Work SMARTER, NOT HARDER!" Thank you, creators of the SLIDERS!!
