Customer Review: Not quite as pictured- but definitely functional

I bought two of these and received them a few days ago. They are much lighter (just an off-white color rather than the tan, sandy color pictured) and they do NOT have a border, which, to my eye, the picture seems to indicate.
They are big, cheap and functional, but I wouldn't recommend them as a central element for decorative purposes.
In the end, I ended up cutting one in half (long-wise, which was very easy since there is a straight stripe texture that allows for a nice straight cut) to use as a runner instead, and that actually worked out great since they don't fray or lose threads- in other words, it doesn't look cut in half at all.
The other went into the "toy room" rather than the living room (which is where I had planned to use it) because it just looks a little more... "industrial" than elegant. But in the toy room, it is perfectly functional and big and could be a great way to protect the floors without spending much money.
