I have used the Misto sprayer in my kitchen for about 3 years and I love it. I am an experienced cook and this is one of my essential items in my kitchen. It stays out on my counter becaue I use it every day on my non-stick pans. Most do not recommend non-stick sprays like Pam. I have one for olive and one for canola oil. Don't fill the canister more than 1/3 full or you will have problems with clogging. I use it for coating bread slices for crustini, roasting veggies, coating pans for egg frying & sautes, phyllo dough coating, lightly dressing salads, and for oil and lemon or vinegar tosses. The Misto is very durable, protects the oil from light, never clogs unless you overfill the canister, and srays a fine mist on foods and pans for many kitchen uses. Indespensible, and reliable.Customer Review: Love it! Buying another, I know this brand works. Try toasted sesame seed oil!

I was very surprised at the even and powerful spray! I know that Misto works the way I want it to, so I dont want to try another brand, when I buy another oil mister. Thing is, I am definatley buying another one. I realized that I could put any oil in it, and the calories would still be negligable. I invested in some toasted sesame seed oil, and it has taken up permanent residence in my misto, causing me to need another one for olive oil! WOW! This thing is great! I read another review that said they last longer if you discharge the pressure, so I will do that. ALso, you can keep track of how much oil you consume, by measuring that half cup it reccomends. cooking sprays are a must when watching what you eat- Ive lost over 100 pounds, its great to save money on this kitchen staple.Customer Review: Works great - until it eventually fails

I loved this thing. So much so, that I ended up buying it several more times for my friends as a gift.
I filled it with olive oil and put a couple of cloves of garlic inside. With every pannini I made, I gave it a couple of pumps and easily sprayed garlic-infused oil on the bread for a crisp and flavorful pannini. Excellent.
Also for a salad - a couple of sprays is enough to give all the ingedients some essence of a garlic-infused olive oil dressing, without the amount of calories you'd get by simply pouring dressing on it. Great for a diet.
Problem though - it failed after about 4 months. Just started leaking and the nozzle stopped spraying a mist, but rather a drippy stream.
At least it's cheap enough to keep buying a new one.

I am SOOO very impressed with my Misto!! No more buying the non-stick canned sprays! I bought 2- one for my olive oil, one for my canola oil. The spray mist quality is excellent; the Misto makes it a snap to apply a thin, even layer of oil (you really don't use much actual oil!)--all with no preservatives/artificial mystery ingredients as you get with the canned sprays. I can feel good about what I am adding to my cooking (natural, heart-healthy OMEGA 3s!) not to mention, a HUGE $-SAVINGS-$. Your Misto will pay for itself over and over in no time. Makes a classy gift, too!! I will be getting one for my friends and family as gifts this holiday season, along with a bottle of high quality olive oil. I had written a review (which I don't see here) about how disappointed I was that my mister stopped working after 3 months (of VERY careful handling) because the white screw collar broke so the pump did not have the needed pressure to pump. I had seen others with this problem in reading these reviews. I used the 800# on the instruction booklet and was told by a customer service associate at MISTO that there was a shipment with bad collars and they would happily replace it with another, with NEW design, which should resolve the problem.
Within a week my new collar arrived.
I suggest anyone with a broken collar who has had it break within the past 6 months might contact MISTO too, and see if a replacement is available.
This is a GREAT product when it works :-))))
