Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Mighty Putty MP-1001 Fix, Fill & Seal Epoxy Bond. Supports up to 350 Pounds. Set of Six.Customer Review: mighty putty- not so mighty Summary: 1 Stars
This stuff sucks. at first i tried it on a picture frame (the one with lots of frames stuck together, from walmart) thought it worked, so i went and tried to put a garden hose holder on to our brick wall, - no garden hose attached yet. it wouldnt even stick with me putting alot of pressure on it i stuck a heavy trash can against it hoping it would just need some time to bond. but nope hours later and the damn thing just fell off. oh and back to that picture frame its been sitting in a box for about a week now and i decided to hang it, and by the way the part that i fixed is not a part that has any pressure on it its the bottom of the frame, i placed ONE PICTURE IN THERE NO GLASS WOOD JUST THE PAPER AND IT FELL OFF. WASTE OF MONEY
Customer Review: This is my second purchase first set lasted 2 yrs. A+++ Summary: 5 Stars
I've seen the negative reviews on this and they puzzle me. I have used this for so many different things and been well pleased. They only negative I have had is I had it put up my outdoor flagpole and it held metal to brick for 2 years, then it fell off and I couldn't get it to stick again. I tend to think it must lose some power over time. But for the price it is still worth it.
I have a plant hanger metal to brick it has kept up over two years and still rock strong outside.
Give it a try what do you have to lose? Amazon has a great return policy. Also make sure you kneed it fully before use until it is uniform in color.

Problems!
1- The tubes are half the size shown. Some of the vendors listed will only ship three tubes, despite product description that says six. Many comparable products are cheaper/better (JB Weld).
2- The epoxy is brittle when cured, particularly when set thin (less than 0.5 inch). I tried to repair a plastic part, and the epoxy held for about 2 days before crumbling.
3- Heat and moisture will break the adhesive bond after the product cures. It really can't be used for plumbing repairs, or coffee cups, or outside to hold anything up (yet alone 350lbs).
Save your money.
Customer Review: Not Really All That Mighty - Not Recommended Summary: 2 Stars
I really had high hopes for Mighty Putty, but it sadly did not perform as well as I hoped and expected.
The basic idea is very simple, you cut the amount you want off the roll and kneed it until it becomes a uniform color. You apply this to the items to be joined/repaired and in 24 hours you are supposed to get a very tight bond. With the exception of cracked planter, all of my other attempts to use mighty putty failed. I followed the directions exactly and could not get this stuff to work correctly.
A bit disapointing, not recommended.
Customer Review: Don't believe it! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this product for one specific purpose, to attach wires and brackets to a brick wall for vine and trellis support. In the video presentation for this product it shows attaching shelving brackets to a brick wall and it supports 350 lbs. Reality, it supports nothing! After curing for over 24 hours, the slightest pressure causes immediate failure of the bond. This may be good for temporary filling of holes, but in no way will replace a two-part liquid epoxy or a product like JB Weld.
